CME Gold futures options trading pauses daily from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time (EST). During this 60-minute window, GEX wall values remain locked at the official New York session close settlement levels. Daily options expiration sync and strike recalibration occur automatically every morning between 09:15 AM and 09:30 AM EST before the New York cash open.
